The compensation for this position starts at $25.55 per hour, with the potential to earn between $25.55 and $28.55 per hour depending on relevant experience and qualifications.

Schedule:

  • Approximately 85% of driver routes are home daily.
  • Work schedule typically consists of 4 consecutive 12-hour shifts.
  • Saturday deliveries may be required.
  • Driver vacation coverage may involve occasional night routes and overnight hotel stays.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate trucks to deliver products to customers while adhering to scheduled delivery times.
  • Efficiently unload products from the trailer using equipment such as a two-wheeler or pallet jack, placing items in designated customer storage areas.
  • Verify delivery accuracy with customers and obtain necessary signatures.
  • Manage collections and payments from customers as needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull products weighing between 20 to 80+ lbs. repeatedly throughout each shift.
  • Comfortable operating a vehicle and executing job duties in various weather conditions, with frequent stops (10+ per shift).

Qualifications:

  • Registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid CDL Class A issued by the state of residence, along with the necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
  • A minimum of six months of commercial driving experience in any industry, or three months specifically in the food and/or beverage delivery sector, is required.
  • Proficiency in operating manual transmissions is preferred and may be required in specific locations.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English, capable of engaging in conversation, understanding highway signs and signals, responding to official inquiries, and documenting information accurately.
