We are seeking qualified CDL-A Drivers to join our team at US Foods®, where we are dedicated to leading the foodservice industry. As part of our commitment to our drivers, we offer a $12,000 retention bonus for eligible candidates.

Schedule:

  • Approximately 85% of driver routes allow for daily home time.
  • Typical schedule consists of 4 working days of 12 hours each.
  • Saturday deliveries may be required.
  • Coverage for driver vacations may include some night routes and overnight hotel stays.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate trucks to deliver products to customers while adhering to scheduled delivery times.
  • Carefully unload products from the trailer using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand, and place them in designated storage areas.
  • Verify delivery accuracy with customers and obtain required signatures.
  • Manage collections and payments from customers as necessary.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance the overall client experience.
  • Conduct all pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repeatedly throughout each shift.
  • Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions, with frequent stops (10+ per shift).

Qualifications:

  • Registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse is required.*
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Valid CDL Class A issued by the state of residence, with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
  • A minimum of six months of commercial driving experience in any industry, or three months of experience in food and/or beverage delivery is required.
  • Preference for candidates who can operate a manual transmission (may be required in specific locations).
  • Proficiency in reading and communicating in English to manage conversations, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to inquiries, and complete reports and records.

Compensation is contingent upon relevant experience, education, specific skills, position, geographic location, and other factors as required by law. The expected hourly base rate for this role ranges from $25.55 to $28.55.
