We are seeking qualified CDL-A Drivers to join our team and take advantage of an exciting opportunity to build a rewarding career with a leader in the foodservice industry. US Foods® is offering a retention bonus of $12,000 for qualified candidates.

Compensation for this role is competitive, starting at $25.55 per hour. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, a strong commitment to safety, effective leadership, and much more.

Schedule:

  • 85% of Driver routes are home daily.
  • Typical schedule consists of 4 days, 12-hour shifts.
  • Saturday deliveries are often required.
  • Vacation coverage may involve some night routes and overnight stays at hotels.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate trucks to deliver products to customers, ensuring adherence to scheduled delivery times.
  • Methodically unload products from the trailer using equipment such as two-wheelers and pallet jacks, and place them in designated storage areas.
  • Verify delivery accuracy with customers and ensure proper signatures are obtained.
  • Manage collections and payments from customers as necessary.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repeatedly throughout each shift.
  • Comfort with driving and working in inclement weather, making frequent stops (10+ per shift).

Qualifications:

  • Registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse is required.
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid CDL Class A issued by the state of residence is necessary, including appropriate endorsements and DOT qualifications.
  • A minimum of six months of commercial driving experience in any industry or three months of experience specifically in food and/or beverage delivery is required.
  • Proficiency in operating manual transmissions is preferred and may be required in specific locations.
  • Candidates must possess the ability to read and communicate effectively in English, which includes understanding highway traffic signs, responding to official inquiries, and accurately documenting information.
