Schedule:

  • 85% of driver routes allow for daily home time.
  • Typical schedule is 4 shifts, each lasting 12 hours.
  • Saturday deliveries are often required.
  • Vacation coverage for drivers may involve some night routes and overnight hotel stays.

Main Ingredients of the Job:

  • Safely operate trucks to deliver products to customers while adhering to scheduled delivery times.
  • Efficiently unload products using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand, and place them in designated storage areas at customer locations.
  • Verify delivery accuracy with customers and obtain necessary signatures.
  • Manage collections and payments from customers as applicable.
  • Provide excellent customer service to enhance client relationships.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repeatedly throughout each shift.
  • Willingness to drive and work in inclement weather, performing frequent stops (10+ per shift).

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Registration in the FMCSA Clearinghouse is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Hold a valid CDL Class A issued by the state of residence, with required endorsements and DOT qualifications.
  • Minimum of six months of commercial driving experience in any industry or three months specifically within the food and beverage delivery industry is required.
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is preferred and may be required in specific locations.
  • Must possess the ability to read and communicate effectively in English, including understanding highway traffic signs and signals, responding to official inquiries, and documenting information accurately.
