Schedule:

  • 85% of driver routes allow for daily home time.
  • Typical work schedule is 4 days at 12 hours each.
  • Saturday deliveries are often required.
  • Vacation coverage for drivers may involve night routes and overnight hotel stays.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate trucks to deliver products to customers while adhering to scheduled delivery times.
  • Unload products from the trailer using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand, ensuring accurate placement in designated customer storage areas.
  • Verify the accuracy of deliveries with customers and obtain necessary signatures.
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable.
  • Deliver exemplary customer service to enhance the client experience.
  • Conduct all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull weights ranging from 20 to over 80 lbs. repetitively throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable working and driving in various weather conditions while making frequent stops (10+ per shift).

Qualifications:

  • Registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid CDL Class A license issued by the state of residence is mandatory, along with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
  • Minimum of six months of commercial driving experience in any industry or three months of relevant experience in the food and/or beverage delivery sector.
  • Preferred experience operating manual transmission vehicles; may be required for specific locations.
  • Proficient in reading and communicating in English, capable of holding conversations, understanding traffic signs and signals, responding to official inquiries, and completing reports and records.

Compensation is contingent upon relevant experience, education, specific skill sets, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base pay for this role ranges between $25.55/hour and $28.55/hour.
