Schedule:

  • 85% of driver routes allow for daily home time
  • Typical schedule consists of 4 shifts of 12 hours each
  • Saturday deliveries may be required
  • Vacation coverage may involve some night routes and overnight hotel stays

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate trucks to ensure timely delivery to customers
  • Carefully unload products using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or manual handling, placing them in designated areas
  • Confirm the accuracy of deliveries with customers and obtain necessary signatures
  • Manage collections and payments from customers when applicable
  • Provide exemplary customer service to enhance the client experience
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, or pull products weighing between 20 to 80+ lbs during each shift
  • Comfortable driving and working in various weather conditions with frequent stops (more than 10 per shift)

Qualifications:

  • Registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse is mandatory
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age
  • A valid CDL Class A license from the state of legal residence, along with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications, is required
  • A minimum of six months of commercial driving experience is necessary, or three months of experience specifically in the food and/or beverage delivery industry
  • Preferred ability to operate manual transmission, which may be required at certain locations
  • Proficiency in reading and communicating in the English language is essential for understanding highway signs, responding to official queries, and completing reports
