$22.50 per hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism to safely load and unload containers at customer locations, strictly adhering to all safety regulations.
- Conduct and document daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the commercial vehicle and lift equipment.
- Accept additional deliveries as necessary to accommodate business operations.
- Utilize a company-issued handheld device for delivery verification and navigation.
- Operate a forklift and/or an overhead crane when required.
- Clean and inspect containers to ensure they are presentable for customer delivery.
- Manage rental paperwork and payment processes with customers.
- Communicate effectively with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding customer inquiries or issues; prepare driver notes as necessary.
- Perform field and storage center repairs on containers and lifts.
- Provide operational support at the storage center when needed.

Maintain a clean and organized truck cab, ensuring it is free from debris both inside and out.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as required.
MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position typically reports to Management, with direct supervisory oversight usually provided by the Market Manager or Territory Manager.
- The role does not involve direct management responsibilities for other employees, including hiring, termination, pay decisions, or performance management.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid CDL Class B License without air brake restriction is essential.
- Must possess a current and valid driver’s license.
- Must meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards.
- Candidates must be at least 21 years of age (due to insurance requirements).
- A valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate or the ability to obtain a minimum one-year certification (DOT requirement) is required.
- Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software is preferred.
- Math skills adequate for performing job responsibilities are necessary.
- Alternatively, a combination of education, training, or experience may be accepted.
- Must be able to attend the required two-week New Hire Driver Training Program.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to frequently remain in a stationary position while driving the commercial motor vehicle or operating a forklift.
- Ability to frequently ascend/descend the cab of the truck and forklift using three points of contact.
- Ability to frequently maneuver and position oneself to operate equipment and deliver containers.
- Occasionally lifting boxes weighing up to 50 lbs is necessary.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus; spatial awareness for parking and navigating tight spaces is essential.
- Ability to use hands for various tasks including writing, operating vehicles, handling equipment, and managing documents on a handheld device.
- Regularly apply up to 40 pounds of pressure through motions such as pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Must be able to read documents, write legibly, and accurately transcribe information.
- Frequently required to communicate and exchange information with management, co-workers, and customers.
WORKING CONDITIONS
