As a Certified Optician, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional care and support to patients at our esteemed ophthalmology practice. Your responsibilities will include assisting patients with frame selection, providing lens recommendations, processing prescriptions, and addressing billing inquiries, all while ensuring adherence to our standards of service excellence.

Responsibilities & Duties:
– Manage patient interactions, guiding them in frame selection, lens recommendations, and adjustments to meet their needs.
– Process orders for lenses, frames, and related charges, ensuring all transactions are accurately completed by the end of each business day.
– Collaborate with the front desk to facilitate a smooth and efficient patient flow throughout the practice.
– Respond to patient inquiries and support them during their visit, fostering a welcoming and informative atmosphere.
– Utilize optical software (Office Mate), medical billing software (Advanced MD), and EyeMD’s EMR system to perform essential tasks efficiently.

Required Qualifications:
– ABO Certification is required.
– Previous experience in optical care with direct patient interactions.
– Proficiency in optical software, including Office Mate and EyeMD.
– A strong patient service orientation complemented by meticulous attention to detail.

Performance Skills:
– Demonstrated ability to multitask and perform effectively in high-pressure environments.
– Knowledge of boutique operations with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
