Job description:
In compliance with state and federal regulations, the role involves assisting the pharmacist in pharmacy practice under direct supervision. Responsibilities include supporting the pharmacist with various Pharmacy Department tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures.

This position requires proficiency in pharmacy systems to access patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, the individual will also coach pharmacy technicians on system usage and assist cashiers with pharmacy register operations.

The candidate is expected to create and deliver a unique and pleasant customer experience through proactive engagement. This includes greeting customers, assisting them with products and services, and resolving any issues to enhance overall satisfaction. Sharing customer service best practices and developing relationships with key customers are also crucial components of this role.

Operational responsibilities involve supporting pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, ensuring adherence to the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct. Duties include accurately entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, and verifying medications while checking for possible interactions. Immediate reporting of prescription errors to the supervising pharmacist is essential, as is compliance with company policies regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement initiatives.
