Job description:
We are actively seeking a Chemical Operator D to join our Care Chemicals (EM) team in Cincinnati, OH. Our organization is a leading global supplier of chemicals for the personal care, home care, industrial, institutional cleaning, and agrochemical industries. As a Chemical Operator D, you will play an essential role in the safe and efficient operation of production equipment at our Cincinnati facility. Your responsibilities will include the operation of chemical processing equipment such as reactors, refining, and filtration systems, as well as transferring materials between departments and loading tank trucks and rail cars for customer shipments.

In this position, your duties will encompass:

– Loading and unloading tanks and rail cars, receiving truck deliveries, and collecting samples from tank cars and vessels.
– Conducting visual inspections of operating equipment to monitor status while effectively utilizing the Distributed Control System (DCS).
– Reading, recording, and interpreting data from instruments (e.g., reactors, tanks, pumps, filtration systems) and making necessary adjustments to optimize production operations.
– Demonstrating proficiency in operating all production equipment with minimal supervision and effectively using computer systems to complete assignments.
– Participating in required safety training and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment while working on-site.
– Maintaining housekeeping standards to ensure a neat and orderly production area.
– Collaborating effectively with Supply Chain Planners, Logistics Planners, Production Coordinators, Maintenance, Lab teams, and other members to uphold high-quality standards that meet or exceed customer expectations.
– Supporting and adhering to the principles of the American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care®, as well as EPA and OSHA initiatives, to ensure the protection of the environment, health, safety, and security of all stakeholders.

To qualify for this role, you should:

– Hold a High School Diploma or GED.
– Have a minimum of two years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
– Possess knowledge of DCS console operations and proficiency in SAP (preferred).
– Display excellent safety standards and strong troubleshooting capabilities.
