Job description:
Role: Chemist
Location: Madison Heights, MI 48071 (Onsite)
Duration: 11 – 12 months (Possible Extension)
Shift: Monday – Friday (8 am – 5 pm)
Pay Range: $27 – $33 per hour on W2

Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified Chemist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in chemistry and relevant laboratory experience.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, with prior laboratory experience preferred.
– Experience in an Analytical laboratory is highly desirable.
– Proficient in wet chemistry techniques, including titration, filtration, dilution, extraction, and gravimetric determinations.
– Familiarity with analytical instrumentation such as GC-FID, ICP, IC, SEM/EDS, and FTIR is advantageous.
– Previous experience with pH meters and specific ion electrode meters is required.
– Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
– Exceptional attention to detail.
– Strong chemical mathematics skills.
– Proficient in using personal computers and relevant software.
– Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities:
– Operate and maintain analytical equipment in accordance with established protocols.
– Ensure the upkeep and accuracy of analytical methods and procedures.
– Collaborate efficiently and effectively with project teams on major client projects.
– Prepare comprehensive customer reports and manage project portfolios.
– Interface with customers through effective communication, including correspondence and presentations.
– Adhere to corporate standards regarding safety, housekeeping, and quality assurance.
– Maintain digital documentation and utilize software such as Microsoft Office, LIMS, and statistical analysis tools.
