Job Summary:
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to engage with individuals and organizations to schedule aligned meetings and foster relationships with key decision-makers. This position is crucial in generating referrals for clients in need of our cleaning and restoration services. Our objective is to secure commitments from potential referral sources while cultivating strong connections with our existing customer base and referral partners through consistent communications, both via phone and in-person interactions. By sustaining active engagement, we enhance customer loyalty and strengthen our network of reliable referral sources.

Responsibilities:
– Identify and pursue potential new customers and referral sources.
– Strategically plan sales calls, meetings, presentations, and participation in events.
– Create and maintain thorough sales route documentation.
– Conduct sales calls that lead to scheduled meetings with targeted referral prospects.
– Secure commitments from customers that lead to referrals for cleaning and restoration services.
– Complete weekly and monthly sales reports promptly.
– Attend and contribute to weekly sales meetings.
– Maintain regular contact with existing customers through phone and in-person communication.
– Update and manage the customer contact database.
– Deliver group presentations to potential organizational clients.
– Engage actively and effectively in trade, community, and networking organizations as well as relevant activities and events.

Working Relationships & Scope:
– Collaborate with managers across all company functions to support operational planning and capacity assessments, ensuring the timely delivery of quality services to customers.
– Participate actively in select trade and community associations to access customer prospects and establish partnerships with contractors.
– Liaise closely with Operations management and Project Managers to stay informed on the status of active projects, keeping customers and referral sources updated.

Qualifications:
– Education and Experience: A minimum of four to six years of experience in relationship selling to senior executives.
– Selling Skills: Demonstrates an understanding of differentiation and value addition. Knowledgeable about customer markets and their challenges, effectively translating insights into actionable selling strategies. Ability to build long-term relationships that drive increased revenue and demand for services.
– Financial Acumen: Familiarity with financial reports such as Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements.
– Mathematical Proficiency: Strong mathematical skills with the ability to assess a prospect’s business potential and estimate revenue opportunities. Comfortable comparing actual performance against established sales plans and revenue objectives.
– Computer Skills: Proficient in computer applications and software, including enterprise systems such as MS Office Suite (Word, Excel).
