Job Title: Cleaning Specialist

Company: Healthcare Services Group

Location: Suttons Bay, MI

Pay: $17 per hour

AI Pay Analysis: As of October 2023, an hourly rate of $17 for a “Cleaning Specialist” in Suttons Bay, MI, is generally on the lower end of the pay scale for cleaning positions in the region. Industry standards typically range from $15 to $25 per hour, depending on factors such as experience, specific duties, and whether the role is residential or commercial. While $17 is competitive for entry-level positions or less demanding cleaning jobs, those with more experience or specialized skills may command higher wages. Additionally, considering the local cost of living and the demand for cleaning services, this rate may attract candidates but could also lead to higher turnover if not compensated adequately.

Job description:
As a Housekeeper at Healthcare Services Group (HCSG), you will play a crucial role in ensuring a clean and safe environment for residents in a long-term care facility. Our organization is dedicated to making a positive impact in the communities we serve, and we invite you to join us in our commitment to excellence in service and enhancing the experiences of our customers and residents.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing daily housekeeping tasks, including cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and offices. You will follow established procedures and safety guidelines to maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility. It will be essential to keep accurate records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance or safety concerns to your supervisor. Adhering to infection control and universal precautions policies will be necessary to ensure a sanitary environment. Additionally, you will interact positively with residents, staff, and guests while providing exceptional customer service, alongside performing any other assigned duties.

Qualifications for this position include a high school diploma or equivalent; while previous housekeeping experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. A positive attitude and effective communication skills are vital for collaborating with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership. Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required. The ability to lift or carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push or pull a maximum of 50 pounds, and maintain physical activity is necessary, as the role involves standing, sitting, bending, and walking for extended periods. Routine and repetitive tasks will be part of your daily responsibilities, along with the ability to work around cleaning products and follow both oral and written instructions.

Candidates must reside within the service area.

If you are eager to contribute to a clean and inviting environment while being part of a supportive and dedicated team, we encourage you to apply and start making a difference at HCSG.
