Job description:

The Sales Outfitter is responsible for executing a variety of selling and customer service activities, which include promptly greeting and acknowledging all customers in a courteous manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing essential information, assistance, and guidance to customers.

Essential Functions:

  • Uphold a strong commitment to providing world-class customer service, ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all patrons.
  • Demonstrate products to customers effectively.
  • Replenish products on shelves as necessary, adhering to merchandising guidelines.
  • Maintain expertise in product knowledge through ongoing training.
  • Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain accurate pricing and signage.
  • Assist with seasonal merchandise placement and reorganization.
  • Restock merchandise as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area, well-stocked with supplies.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Deliver a legendary experience for every customer consistently by:
    • Identifying and assessing customer needs,
    • Making product recommendations based on evaluations,
    • Promoting programs, including but not limited to CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in calculating figures such as discounts and making change for customers.
  • Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and colleagues.
  • Effectively establish and maintain working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
  • Competence in operating a computerized Point of Sale register system.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift.
  • Occasionally climb ladders, stairs, and ramps.
  • Constantly communicate with others to exchange information.
