Position Overview
As a Coffee Sales Advisor, you will serve as a passionate representative for our client, Nespresso, and their premium range of espresso and coffee machines. This role is part of a nationwide sales and promotional campaign conducted within select flagship houseware retailers, including Sur La Table, Williams Sonoma, Macy’s, and Bloomingdale’s. You will act as an in-store expert, engaging with customers and providing live machine demonstrations to illustrate why Nespresso brewing products stand out in the market. Nespresso is committed to ensuring that neither quality nor environmental sustainability is compromised. Through their Positive Cup Campaign, Nespresso integrates sustainable initiatives into its business practices, believing wholeheartedly that the coffee sector can contribute positively by minimizing waste, promoting regenerative agriculture, and fostering resilient communities and farming livelihoods. As a Nespresso Expert, you will significantly contribute to highlighting this sustainable business model and demonstrate how the brand can cater to diverse taste preferences while enhancing customers’ morning routines with barista-quality experiences in the comfort of their homes.

Schedule & Location

  • 8 hours per weekend
  • 12 PM – 4 PM on Saturdays and Sundays
  • Crate & Barrel located in Novi, MI 48377

Duties

  • Exhibit enthusiasm and passion for the Nespresso brand consistently.
  • Deliver an all-encompassing Nespresso experience that includes coffee tastings, engaging machine demonstrations, and tailored product recommendations that address customers’ unique flavor preferences.
  • Drive product sales and machine registrations through exceptional demonstrations, thorough product knowledge, and coffee expertise.
  • Conclude demonstrations using effective closing techniques, emphasizing Nespresso’s sustainability and recycling initiatives.
  • Provide training to store associates, equipping them to confidently communicate Nespresso information.
  • Utilize the Nespresso Trade mobile app for registering machine purchases and coffee orders.
  • Ensure the tasting table and demonstration area comply with hygiene standards and visual requirements.
  • Maintain demo machines in a clean and functional state.
  • Forge positive professional relationships with store leaders and associates.
  • Participate in required program training sessions and team conference calls.
  • Submit surveys with feedback and photographs after each shift.

Qualifications

  • Experience in retail, sales, or training is preferred.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for coffee-related beverages is essential.
  • Previous experience in food demonstrations is advantageous.
  • An engaging attitude combined with excellent interpersonal skills is a must.
  • Comfort in presenting to both individuals and groups is required.
