Job description:
The primary responsibility of the Estimator is to provide an exceptional and seamless customer experience throughout the repair process. This includes creating accurate estimates, coordinating repair needs, and maintaining open lines of communication with customers and insurance companies. The Estimator meticulously assesses vehicle damage and documents necessary repairs and parts replacements within the damage appraisal. This role is integral to enhancing the overall customer experience by ensuring alignment with team members in achieving the facility’s key performance indicators (KPIs).
Key Responsibilities
- Document every customer interaction efficiently and accurately, capturing all pertinent details.
- Provide customers with timely and accurate information to guide them through the repair process, ensuring exceptional service.
- Ensure compliance with all insurance client requirements, processes, and metrics.
- Adhere to all operational guidelines regarding customer drop-offs, repair planning, communication, and delivery.
- Relay all customer requests and needs to the appropriate team members.
- Greet customers positively, both in person and over the phone.
- Possess a thorough understanding of required insurance programs and procedures.
- Participate in daily ‘production walks’ with the management team as required.
- Provide support to team members when needed.
- Attend monthly Health & Safety and staff meetings, as required.
- Participate in training, information sessions, and workshops as recommended by the Store Manager.
- Maximize role performance to meet the store’s KPIs.
- Uphold the company’s core values of honesty, integrity, and respect.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Knowledge of repairs and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) guidelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with resources for finding answers to job-related questions.
- Basic computer skills.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in compliance with Direct Repair Programs (DRPs).
- Willingness to complete I-CAR training.
- Valid driver’s license.

Compensation Details
Commission for this role is calculated based on location, revenue metrics, sales, and individual performance, in accordance with the terms of the compensation plan. Estimated earnings range from $46,800 to $100,000 per year. In situations where total compensation in a pay period falls below minimum wage, clocked hours will be calculated based on the applicable local or state minimum wage, whichever is higher. This position may also offer bonus opportunities linked to individual or business performance.
