ARC | Riot is seeking a skilled Color Production Operator to become a valued member of our team. Key Responsibilities:

– Prioritize incoming orders based on criteria including customer needs, workload, media, finishing, bindery, and machine capabilities.
– Estimate time and media requirements; promptly notify the production manager and/or client of any requests that cannot be met while offering alternative recommendations to meet client needs.
– Receive, process, and modify client files as necessary to meet printing specifications.
– Propose suggestions regarding media, substrates, bindery, and other finishing options.
– Operate and maintain printers, scanners, bindery, and finishing equipment.
– Manage inventory for media, substrates, ink, toner, and finishing supplies.
– Conduct quality control of printed and finished materials in accordance with our high standards.
– Package completed projects for Will-Call, Delivery, or Shipping.
– Organize and maintain an efficient and productive work area.
– Work overtime as needed to meet client expectations.
– Assist other departments as required and respond to customer service inquiries via phone.

Qualifications:

– Strong ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
– Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
– Familiarity with RIP software such as Onyx RIP Queue and Fiery is a plus.
– Experience with cut software, particularly Colex, is advantageous.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
– Tech-savvy, able to quickly learn and adapt to various software programs.
– In-depth knowledge of materials and equipment used in color printing, duplicating, binding, and finishing processes.
– Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver prints and materials carefully to prevent damage during transfer and packaging.
– Detail-oriented with the capacity to multi-task while ensuring quality and accuracy.
– A proactive attitude with an eagerness for continuous self-improvement, including researching new materials and discovering innovative production techniques to enhance client satisfaction.

Required Experience:

– High School Diploma or equivalent.
– Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the color reprographics field, utilizing design and print editing software.

Compensation:

– Pay range is between $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
