Position Summary:
The Concessions Stand Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of concessions stands. This includes overseeing inventory control, managing product waste, training new employees, enforcing cash controls, ensuring compliance with alcohol service policies, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, providing exceptional guest service, and supervising employees and volunteers. The Stand Lead will collaborate closely with the Concessions Manager to uphold high levels of event oversight, while actively supervising, coaching, training, and mentoring staff to meet company quality standards. This position involves initiating or recommending employment actions such as hiring, termination, and disciplinary measures, as well as addressing employee performance issues. The Stand Lead will foster a positive, compliant, and cooperative work environment. Ideal candidates will maintain excellent attendance, be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, and exhibit outstanding interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.

Compensation for this role ranges from $15 to $17 per hour, plus tips.

Responsibilities:
– Manage the development and mentoring of a team of part-time concessions employees, including documentation of employee performance and attendance in accordance with company policies.
– Ensure proper set-up of all concessions locations prior to events, including verifying opening inventory, assigning duties, meeting sanitation standards, and ensuring each location operates efficiently.
– Provide expert oversight for the successful execution of events, maximizing operational efficiency and profitability.
– Manage inventory levels, order products, and oversee high-volume sales with diligence.
– Collaborate effectively with Concession Supervisors to enhance operational outcomes.
– Train new and existing employees on property procedures and best practices.
– Be prepared to cover any open positions to maintain operational standards related to speed of service and guest satisfaction.
– Ensure event staff and volunteers understand workplace expectations and offer continuous training and mentorship to cultivate a positive and enthusiastic working environment.
– Gain a comprehensive understanding of all concession locations, including equipment, evacuation procedures, and access points.

Qualifications:
– Experience in training new employees and volunteers.
– Advanced knowledge of inventory procedures and controls.
– Strong communication skills to interact professionally with employees, co-workers, management, and guests.
– Ability to make prompt, sound operational decisions under pressure, relating to staffing adjustments and technical challenges.
– Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
– Thorough knowledge of sanitation requirements, food preparation guidelines, alcohol service policies, and safety standards relevant to concession operations.
– Proficient in basic math functions as they relate to cash handling and inventory management.
– Commitment to the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
– Certification from a nationally recognized food service sanitation training course is preferred.
– Certification from a nationally recognized alcohol service training course is also preferred.
