Position Summary
The Consumer Lending Sales Specialist (CLSS) is a performance-driven, hands-on role that prioritizes exceptional customer service and is instrumental in achieving individual and branch sales objectives while meeting customer expectations. Responsibilities must adhere to all federal and state regulations as well as company policies and procedures. The CLSS plays a critical role in fulfilling all performance goals and metrics set by management, requiring a keen attention to detail, customer service proficiency, and a strong dedication to sales and customer acquisition. This position will actively engage in marketing initiatives and collection efforts, both externally and internally.

Job Responsibilities
Customer Service, Sales, Marketing & Customer Acquisition:

  • Actively contribute to achieving the center’s performance metrics as outlined by management.
  • Utilize sales tools to enhance customer experiences and employ sales and marketing strategies to drive customer growth in both storefront and online channels.
  • Manage day-to-day service operations for a growing consumer loan portfolio.
  • Present financial solutions tailored to customer needs, fostering new relationships while maintaining existing connections throughout the loan process and lifecycle.
  • Educate customers on loan terms to ensure a comprehensive understanding of their selected products.
  • Build trust with customers and colleagues by embracing the organization’s philosophy and core values.
  • Conduct community marketing initiatives to stimulate sales and customer acquisition, while maintaining required marketing tracking documents.

Operations, Compliance, & Collections:

  • Assist in managing the P&L to achieve budgetary targets and meet management’s performance expectations.
  • Uphold the Company’s policies, procedures, and applicable regulations consistently.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling and adherence to security protocols per Company and Loss Prevention standards.
  • Accurately input customer and transaction data into the point-of-sale system and maintain comprehensive customer files.
  • Execute and document collection calls, field visits, and other sanctioned collection activities.
  • Complete miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Team & Leadership:

  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in a supportive environment to enhance the overall customer experience.

Education Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; some college education is preferred.

Experience Required

  • Sales and/or customer service experience is required, with a year of experience in sales, retail, banking, or collections preferred.

Knowledge Required

  • Proficiency in mathematical calculations and cash handling; strong verbal communication skills; ability to interpret complex information; familiarity with compliance regulations; adaptability to work independently; negotiating skills; and competency in utilizing necessary computer programs for customer transaction processing. The candidate should maintain professionalism, especially under pressure, and have the ability to develop and sustain effective business relationships.

Physical Requirements

  • Capability to stand for extended periods, occasional sitting, and walking longer distances. Duties may include bending, squatting, kneeling, lifting (up to 20 lbs), driving, and engaging in routine housekeeping tasks. The position may require travel to various locations.

Travel

  • A valid driver’s license and access to reliable, insured transportation are essential. The employee must be willing to travel within the division for marketing, collections, staffing, special events, and banking duties.

Attendance is vital; regular and punctual attendance is expected, and schedules may adjust based on business needs. Overtime may be required.
