AI Pay Analysis: To evaluate the competitiveness of the hourly rate for a “Cook” in Grand Rapids, MI, it’s important to consider current industry standards and local market trends. As of late 2023, the typical hourly wage for cooks in this region ranges from $13 to $20, depending on experience, type of establishment, and specific responsibilities. If the rate in question falls within or exceeds this range, it would be considered competitive, particularly if it includes benefits or advancement opportunities. Comparing to national averages, which hover around $15 per hour, a salary above this threshold may also reflect a robust demand for culinary skills in the area. Ultimately, the competitiveness of the rate will depend on these factors and any additional compensation or benefits offered.
