Job Description
Job Title: Cook
Company: Aimbridge Hospitality
Location: Portage, MI
Pay: $16 per hour
AI Pay Analysis: An hourly rate of $16 for a Cook in Portage, MI, is generally considered to be on the lower end of the pay scale for this role, especially in light of growing labor demands and cost of living adjustments. As of 2023, the average hourly wage for cooks in Michigan typically ranges from $15 to $20, depending on experience and type of establishment (e.g., fast food vs. fine dining). Therefore, while $16 may be competitive for entry-level positions or less demanding roles, it may not attract skilled cooks or those with higher experience, particularly as many employers are offering higher wages to retain talent in a tightening labor market. Overall, this rate may align with some entry-level positions but is less competitive for more experienced cooks in the area.
