Job Description
Job Title: Cook
Company: Corewell Health
Location: Hastings, MI
Pay: $16.4 per hour
AI Pay Analysis: As of 2023, an hourly rate of $16.40 for a Cook in Hastings, MI, is somewhat competitive, yet it may fall below the average wage for similar positions in the region and nationally. Cook salaries can vary based on experience, type of establishment, and local demand; however, typical rates often range from $15 to $20 per hour in Michigan, with some establishments offering higher wages for more experienced cooks or specialty roles. Given that Hastings is a smaller town, the cost of living is lower, which can affect wage standards, but the rate of $16.40 may still be seen as modest compared to wages in larger cities or for more experienced positions in the culinary field. Overall, while the rate is reasonable, it may not fully align with what is typically expected in more competitive environments.
