Job Title: Cook

Company: Courtyard

Location: Portage, MI

Pay: $16 per hour

AI Pay Analysis: An hourly rate of $16 for a Cook position in Portage, MI, is generally competitive but may fall slightly below the average for the region. As of 2023, the average hourly wage for cooks in Michigan tends to range from $15 to $20, depending on experience and the type of establishment (e.g., fast food, casual dining, or fine dining). While $16 aligns closely with the lower end of the spectrum for less experienced cooks, it may be less attractive for those with significant culinary expertise or for positions requiring specialized skills. Additionally, factors such as the cost of living in Portage and benefits offered can further influence the competitiveness of this wage.
