Job Summary:
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Shift: Part Time 5:30 AM – 10:30 AM

As a Cook, you will play a vital role in our culinary team by preparing all food items in accordance with standardized recipes for the Restaurant, Dining Outlet, Café, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria, and Banquets. Your commitment to upholding the highest standards will ensure that every dish produced is both appealing and appetizing. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in the kitchen and work areas, all while minimizing waste and maximizing the cost-to-production ratio.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent; prior experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
• Food Handlers Certification (must comply with State requirements).
• Ability to communicate information clearly and effectively.
• Competence in evaluating and selecting from alternative courses of action swiftly and accurately.
• Capacity to perform well in high-pressure, stressful situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Approach every interaction with guests and associates in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, adjusting to the needs of the hotel.
• Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag as per brand standards.
• Adhere to Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient operations.
• Ensure compliance with certification requirements pertinent to the role, such as Food Handlers Safety.
• Foster a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
• Possess thorough knowledge of menus and their preparation as specified by hotel standards.
• Keep all storage areas clean and well-organized.
• Complete necessary food and station preparations before the opening of the Restaurant/Dining Outlet/Café to ensure prompt and efficient guest service during operational hours.
• Prepare and display buffet food items following Aimbridge Hospitality standards.
• Maintain an active presence on the kitchen line during operational hours, ensuring food is prepared to order while meeting high standards of efficiency, productivity, and quality.
• Prepare banquet food as required, following specifications laid out in Banquet Event Orders.
• Prepare and serve food for the Associate Cafeteria as directed by restaurant leadership.
• Follow Aimbridge Hospitality standard recipes for all food preparation; specials may be created under the guidance of restaurant leadership.
• Assist with the breakdown of buffets and kitchen lines, ensuring proper storage of food and equipment at the conclusion of each meal period.
• Operate the banquet food station as scheduled by restaurant leadership.
• Be knowledgeable about the location and operation of all fire extinguishing equipment.
• Uphold safe working practices to prevent injury to yourself and fellow associates.
• Familiarize yourself with all hotel policies, house rules, and emergency procedures.
• Utilize Production Charts as directed by Aimbridge Hospitality standards.
• Remain attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and fellow associates at all times.
• Maintain and clean all kitchen equipment as required.
• Adhere to the "Clean As You Go" policy.
• Assist in the storage and rotation of food items in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Sign out and return keys under supervision as needed.
• Attend meetings as required by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
