Position Summary
The role of Cook involves preparing and serving meals, including texture-modified and therapeutic diets, in accordance with facility menus and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring high-quality dining services are provided as directed by the Dining Services Director.
  • Assisting in proper food storage, preparation, serving, sanitation, and cleaning procedures.
  • Supporting the Dietary Aide and directing other employees when necessary in the absence of the Dining Services Director.
  • Adhering to safety protocols by properly utilizing protective gear and handling cleaning solutions.

Further responsibilities encompass punctuality, maintaining exceptional customer and resident experiences, and demonstrating a positive attitude while following instructions.

Qualifications
Candidates should possess:

  • A positive demeanor with the ability to understand and execute both oral and written instructions.
  • The capacity to operate independently after training while ensuring safety and injury prevention.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with experience in food preparation; completion of an approved sanitation and safety course may be required.
