AI Pay Analysis: To analyze the hourly rate for a “Cook” in Livonia, MI, it’s essential to compare it with the average rates in the region as well as national benchmarks. As of 2023, the average hourly pay for cooks in the U.S. typically ranges from $12 to $20, depending on experience, establishment type, and specific culinary skills. In Michigan, the average tends to be on the lower end of that spectrum, influenced by local cost of living and demand. Therefore, if the rate you are considering falls within this range, it can be deemed competitive; however, if it significantly undercuts this average, it may not attract qualified candidates. Ensuring that the pay aligns with both experience level and the type of cuisine prepared would also be critical in assessing overall competitiveness.
