Responsibilities:
– Prepare and cook meals in accordance with planned menus and recipes.
– Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation align with HCSG standards.
– Comply with food safety and sanitation guidelines while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
– Assist with inventory management and supply ordering.
– Foster positive interactions with residents, staff, and guests, delivering excellent customer service.
– Complete any other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent.
– Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
– Ability to follow recipes and accommodate dietary restrictions.
– Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with residents, staff, and management to facilitate daily operations.
– Adherence to COVID-19 vaccination policies.
– Capacity to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, and to push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds; able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
– Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks continuously.
– Capability to work in proximity to food and cleaning products.
– Completion of an approved sanitation and safety course may be required.
– Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required as per state/county regulations.
– Residency within the service area is required.
