Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals in accordance with planned menus and recipes.
  • Ensure that food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines while maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen.
  • Assist with inventory management and the ordering of supplies.
  • Engage positively with residents, staff, and guests to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
  • Ability to follow recipes and accommodate dietary restrictions.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to successfully complete daily tasks.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is necessary.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push and pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Capacity to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
  • Ability to work in proximity to food and cleaning products.
  • May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
  • Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required in accordance with State/County law.
  • Residency within the service area is required.
