Job description:

Employment Type: Part-time
Shift: Day Shift

Description:
The Cook is responsible for preparing food in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as our own established policies and procedures. This role also entails following directions from supervisors to ensure that high-quality food service is consistently maintained.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing menus prior to food preparation to guarantee accuracy and consistency.
  • Completing necessary administrative tasks, including forms and reports, and submitting them to the Manager.
  • Maintaining and filing menus in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Coordinating services with other departments as needed.
  • Assisting in serving meals promptly and ensuring all procedures are followed according to established guidelines.
  • Aiding in the standardization of methods to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Assuming authority, responsibility, and accountability as the Cook.
  • Supporting the establishment of a food service production line to ensure meals are prepared on time.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in cooking a variety of foods in large quantities.
  • Knowledge of dietary procedures and regulations.
