At SSP America, our Line Cooks play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. They are responsible for receiving food orders, preparing delectable dishes, and ensuring that the kitchen is organized and equipped with all necessary tools and ingredients throughout their shifts. With a dynamic work environment in the Back of House, our Line Cooks thrive under pressure and take pride in their craft.

Our restaurant portfolio at the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport features a variety of dining options, including Chili’s, Max & Erma’s, Sora Japanese Cuisine, and Coffey Beanery, among others.

Key Responsibilities of our Line Cooks include:
– Adhering to recipes and practicing portion control to prepare, garnish, and present ordered items with care
– Maintaining a well-organized kitchen and station setup on a daily basis
– Requisitioning and stocking all necessary food supplies, paper products, and condiments
– Safely handling, storing, and rotating all products to maintain quality
– Conducting regular maintenance, cleaning, and breakdown of kitchen machinery and equipment
– Managing the stock, cutting, and storage of all perishable items to ensure product freshness
– Completing opening, ongoing, and closing checklists as required
– Taking responsibility for the quality of the dishes served
– Performing general and specific cleaning tasks as assigned by the supervisor to adhere to health and safety standards
– Fulfilling additional duties as needed
