Join Our Front-End Team as a Courtesy Clerk!

Nino Salvaggio is seeking a dedicated Courtesy Clerk for our Troy location.

Responsibilities:

  • Bag and package all customer purchases and merchandise in accordance with Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace’s bagging guidelines and standards.
  • Promptly assist in cleaning up spills, breakages, and leaks to minimize hazards and prevent accidents, adhering to company guidelines.
  • Collect shopping carts from the parking lot in all weather conditions, ensuring they are returned to designated areas and pick-up points.
  • Appropriately sort and manage return-to-stock items, ensuring perishable and refrigerated items are returned promptly and correctly.
  • Handle damaged or spoiled products according to company and departmental protocols while assisting in managing the level of damaged goods.
  • Assist customers with their orders and inquiries, providing exceptional service.
  • Support customers with large or bulk orders, including transporting items to their vehicles and assisting with loading.
  • Perform housekeeping and maintenance duties such as sweeping and mopping as assigned.
  • Greet customers warmly and provide them with prompt and courteous service.
  • Maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance in compliance with company grooming and dress standards.
  • Report any safety or equipment issues, concerns, or violations to management immediately.
  • Assist in training new associates as necessary.
  • Provide support in other departments as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred, though not required.
  • Reliable transportation is a must.
  • Availability on weekends is essential.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperature conditions, including cold, heat, snow, rain, and humidity.
  • Capable of consistent outdoor work.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for periods of 8 hours or more.
  • Ability to regularly bend, lift, and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to safely push and pull multiple shopping carts.
  • Ability to push/pull items weighing up to 50 pounds (e.g., shopping carts).
