Position Description:
This role is instrumental in fostering cleaner, healthier environments for our customers, their students, and their facilities. The following are the essential duties and responsibilities associated with this position, though additional tasks may be assigned:

  • Execute a variety of cleaning duties for facilities utilizing provided ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures.
  • Typical cleaning responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash disposal, window cleaning, furniture and equipment rearrangement, and more.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Open and secure facilities, and manage the security systems as needed.
  • Previous experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper, while advantageous, is not mandatory; we provide on-the-job training for candidates demonstrating a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Experience within a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital, or school is beneficial.
  • The ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment is essential.
  • Contribute positively to the work atmosphere with a friendly demeanor, and be a dependable team player by adhering to uniform standards and punctuality.
  • Exhibit respect and understanding towards co-workers and customers.
  • Proficiency in English communication is required.

Physical Demands and Qualifications:

  • The position requires constant engagement in standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching overhead, and forward. Candidates must be capable of lifting and/or carrying up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend cleaning instructions.
