Job description:

Models and delivers an exceptional customer experience, ensuring that every interaction is distinctive and delightful. Responsible for processing sales at the assigned cash register, providing courteous, fair, and efficient checkout service to customers.

Customer Experience
Engages with customers and patients by greeting them warmly and offering assistance with products and services. Proactively resolves customer issues and addresses inquiries, guaranteeing a positive shopping experience. Shares and exemplifies customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal skills such as greeting, maintaining eye contact, and courtesy, as well as employing Walgreens service traits like proactively offering help, identifying customer needs, and ensuring satisfaction.

Operations
Delivers courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers. Recommends products and trade-up options to enhance customer satisfaction. Accurately registers customer purchases, processes cash transactions, and manages returns, refunds, and exchanges as necessary. Maintains cleanliness and organization at counters and shelves, performs inventory checks, and follows guidelines for pricing and merchandising as directed by management. Implements asset protection protocols to minimize losses and ensures adherence to state and local regulations concerning regulated products, such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco. Constructs and maintains displays for promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise, including completing resets as instructed.

Assists with food item separation and product placement in accordance with established policies. Applies the first-in, first-out method for consumable items and restocks merchandise as needed. Demonstrates proficiency with store systems and equipment. Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport services and promotional photo product suggestions. Takes on web pick-up responsibilities by monitoring orders and fulfilling customer requests upon store arrival. Supports the maintenance of both the interior and exterior of the store to ensure its cleanliness and appealing appearance. Adheres to all company policies and fosters respectful relationships with colleagues. Completes special assignments and additional tasks as required.

Training & Personal Development
Participates in training sessions and fulfills all required Personal Performance Logs as designated by the Manager or corporate.

External Basic Qualifications

• Must possess fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Demonstrates willingness to maintain a flexible schedule, including availability for evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• Previous experience with Walgreens is advantageous.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (except in Puerto Rico) is preferred.
• Flexibility in scheduling, including evenings and weekends, is required.
