Job description:
Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience by engaging with customers and patients. Responsibilities include:

– Effectively greeting customers and offering assistance with products and services, while proactively resolving customer issues and answering inquiries to ensure a positive experience.
– Demonstrating and sharing customer service best practices with team members to foster an exceptional customer journey, emphasizing interpersonal habits such as proper greetings, eye contact, and courtesy, as well as Walgreens service traits, including proactive assistance and attentive service until customer satisfaction is achieved.

Operational duties include:

– Providing prompt, courteous, and efficient service to all customers.
– Recommending sales items and companion products to enhance customer satisfaction.
– Accurately registering purchases on assigned cash registers, processing transactions including voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as necessary.
– Maintaining clean and well-organized counters and shelves, conducting inventory checks, and keeping accurate records. Responsible for checking merchandise, pricing items, and following directives from the store manager or shift leader.
– Implementing company asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
– Ensuring compliance with state and local regulations pertaining to regulated products such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
– Constructing and maintaining displays for promotions, seasonal items, and sales merchandise, while completing resets and revisions as directed.
– Assisting in food item separation (e.g., raw versus pre-cooked) and proper product placement per policy and procedure.
– Knowledgeable of store systems and equipment to enhance operational efficiency.
– Providing customer service in the photo area, managing digital passport photo services, poster printing, and promoting photo products.
– Managing web pick-up responsibilities by monitoring orders in Picture Care Plus, fulfilling orders, and delivering items to customers upon their arrival in-store.
– Contributing to exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring the store remains clean, neat, and orderly in appearance.
– Adhering to all company policies and procedures while fostering respectful relationships with coworkers.
– Completing special assignments and additional tasks as delegated.

Training & Personal Development responsibilities entail:

– Attending training sessions and completing Performance Proficiency Levels (PPLs) as requested by the manager or assigned by corporate.

Basic Qualifications include:

– Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (with the exception of Puerto Rico).
– A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications consist of:

– A preference for candidates with six months of experience in a retail environment, ideally with prior work experience at Walgreens.
– Continued fluency in English as previously mentioned.
– A flexible availability for evenings and weekends.
