Job description:
This full-time position requires working one weekend day, with shifts scheduled from either 12 PM to 8 PM, 2 PM to 10 PM, or 3 PM to 11 PM.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by warmly greeting members, prospective members, and guests.
- Manage all front desk activities, including but not limited to:
- Answering phones in a friendly manner and assisting callers with a variety of inquiries.
- Checking IDs and member barcodes into the system.
- Facilitating new member sign-ups.
- Leading prospective members on tours of the club.
- Assisting with necessary updates to member accounts.
- Responding to member questions and concerns in a professional and timely manner, elevating issues to the Assistant Club Manager as needed.
- Contributing to the maintenance of the club’s neatness and cleanliness.
- Monitoring the safety of individuals and the cleanliness of the facility.
- Thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, locker room areas, fitness equipment, and gym floors.
- Ensuring locker rooms are stocked with appropriate supplies and paper products.
- Reporting any broken or missing amenities or equipment (such as toilets, faucets, showers, hair dryers, and gym equipment) to the Club Manager.
- Adhering to the “Lost and Found Policy” and promptly turning in lost property to the Club Manager or Assistant Club Manager.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency is required.
- A passion for fitness and health.

- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers, consistently exceeding member expectations.

- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Demands
- Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.
- Regularly engaging in conversations with members and handling incoming membership calls.
- Ability to occasionally lift items up to 50 lbs.
- Responsible for diluting and cleaning with chemicals during shifts.
- Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and high-touch surfaces within the club.
- Monitoring the club and assisting members throughout the entirety of the shift.
