As a Preschool Cook, you will play a vital role in positively impacting the lives of children, their families, and communities by preparing daily nutritious meals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and cook healthy and delicious meals for preschool children that adhere to proper nutritional guidelines.
  • Maintain and document food allergies for each child in our center, prioritizing their safety, and communicate any identified allergies to teachers with each food delivery.
  • Adhere to proper food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures to ensure appropriate food storage.
  • Collaborate with the Center Leadership team to purchase all necessary food and supplies and maintain inventory records in compliance with local and state regulations.
  • Deliver excellent customer service with a positive attitude towards parents and children, actively listening and communicating effectively.
  • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability in response to the daily needs of the childcare center.

Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in food preparation and cooking.
  • A food handling certificate or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
  • The capability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
