Responsibilities and Duties:
As a caregiver, you will perform a variety of personal care activities that assist clients with activities of daily living, including:

  • Personal hygiene assistance (bathing, grooming, using the bathroom, and skin/hair care)
  • Support with ambulation and transfers
  • Meal preparation and light housekeeping tasks
  • Assisting with dressing and hygiene routines
  • Accompanying clients on errands or to medical appointments
  • Performing housekeeping duties, such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and laundry

Additionally, you will carry out patient-specific tasks as instructed by a Right at Home nurse, which may include:

  • Medication reminders
  • Assistance with prescribed range of motion exercises
  • Preparing special diets as needed
  • Providing care for clients with dementia
  • Incontinence care

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate is preferred
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a caregiver or home health aide, either in residential homes or healthcare facilities
  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English as required by the role
  • Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle
