Job Title: Dedicated Onsite IT Technician – Tier 2

Company: Applied Innovation

Applied Innovation is currently seeking a meticulous and self-motivated professional to join our Managed Network Services department as a Dedicated Onsite IT Technician – Tier 2. This role is primarily based at client locations and entails addressing their internal IT requirements. The position will report directly to the Service Team Manager at Applied Innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a representative of Applied Innovation IT Services within client environments.
  • Travel to various client sites on a structured schedule within a specified territory.
  • Install, maintain, and support clients’ IT environments, including user workstations, servers, and other infrastructure devices.
  • Diagnose, resolve, or escalate client technical issues as required.
  • Update client documentation within the document retention system accurately.
  • Recommend modifications and improvements to existing procedures.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to Tier 1 Onsite IT Technicians.

Required Skills and Competencies:
The ideal candidate should possess intermediate knowledge and troubleshooting skills in the following areas:

  • Proficiency in PC, MAC, and server operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Office 365, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Competence in Active Directory administration, On-premises Exchange, web content filtering, antivirus solutions, DNS, DHCP, wired and wireless network connectivity, server administration, and network storage systems.
  • Strong customer service skills are essential.
  • Dependability, professionalism, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • A demonstrated capacity to learn, understand, and manage new information technology systems quickly.
  • High adaptability and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications:

  • A valid, clean, and current driving license.
  • Willingness to drive between client locations.
  • A minimum of a two-year college degree in Networking, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • At least three years of experience in an IT-related role.
  • Certification requirements: One of the following certifications is mandatory:
    • A+ Certification
    • NET+ Certification
    • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
    • Server Plus
    • Other relevant IT certifications
