Job Summary:
The role involves slicing, packaging, weighing, and selling a variety of deli products, including meats and cheeses. You will ensure the presentation and cleanliness of the deli section, including the deli display cases, while providing exceptional assistance to members.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide high-quality customer service, responding to inquiries and recommending deli items, while managing special orders and member calls.
  • Slice, package, and weigh deli products, assisting members in product selection and offering samples to enhance purchasing decisions. Prepare and package special orders and party trays.
  • Receive, inspect, and store deli shipments, adhering to food safety and product handling policies.
  • Maintain product freshness and quality, checking for expired items daily and following appropriate salvage procedures.
  • Ensure a diverse selection of products in deli cooler shelves and display cases, restocking as necessary.
  • Operate deli equipment according to safety protocols.
  • Clean and sanitize deli equipment and food surfaces, including ovens, utensils, and refrigerated cases.
  • Ensure scale systems function correctly and that items are weighed and priced accurately.
  • Adhere to all club policies and procedures, performing additional duties as required, including support in other departments.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is vital for this role.

Qualifications:
