Job Description
Job Title: Dementia Care Aide
Company: Homestead
Location: Canton, MI
Pay: $16 per hour
AI Pay Analysis: As of October 2023, an hourly rate of $16 for a Dementia Care Aide in Canton, MI, is relatively low compared to industry standards. According to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and various salary surveys, the average hourly wage for similar positions in Michigan typically ranges from $12 to $20, with some experienced aides earning as much as $25 per hour or more, particularly in regions with a higher cost of living. Considering the specialized nature of dementia care and the demand for such services, a rate of $16 may be on the lower end, which could impact recruitment and retention of qualified staff in the area. Overall, while it may be competitive for entry-level positions, it may not attract more experienced candidates or align well with standards in the field.
