AI Pay Analysis: To assess whether the hourly rate for the “Dialysis Clinical Technician” role in Clinton Township, MI, is competitive and aligns with industry standards, one would need to consider factors such as typical salaries for similar positions in the area, the level of experience required, and current job market conditions. As of October 2023, dialysis technicians in Michigan typically earn between $15 to $25 per hour, depending on experience and specific employer factors. If the rate offered falls within or near this range, it can be considered competitive. Additionally, benefits, shift differentials for day versus night shifts, and the overall demand for healthcare roles in that region should be examined to fully evaluate competitiveness. Without the specific hourly rate included, it’s difficult to provide a definitive assessment.
Job description:
Macomb Home Dialysis operates as an extension of an outpatient dialysis facility, focusing on the care of peritoneal and home dialysis patients with a current census of 20 patients. Our team includes full-time Nephrologists, along with both full-time and part-time Home Nurses and a pool of traveling home dialysis technicians. Additionally, we benefit from the support of shared staff members from the outpatient clinic, including front desk personnel and technical leaders responsible for machine maintenance, who assist with operational tasks within the clinic.
We manage cases for 20 patients who are monitored through connected health systems for Baxter and NxStage, providing training for patients to conduct dialysis treatments at home within the clinic setting. The training period for peritoneal dialysis (PD) spans 7-10 days, while home hemodialysis (HHD) training requires 4-6 weeks. Our home team schedules monthly clinic visits for all home patients, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and coordinates lab draws for PD patients. We actively provide patient education and facilitate referrals to transplant services as per patient requests.
The unit typically operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM for patient care, with some flexibility based on clinic needs. Home Nurses are assigned daily on-call duties, including weekends, although the clinic remains closed for most weekends and holidays, subject to training or clinical requirements.
We are offering a $2,000 sign-on bonus for certified dialysis clinical technicians. We seek a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Dialysis Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in patient care and a strong commitment to aiding individuals with kidney disease. In this role, you will significantly contribute to providing dialysis treatments and ensuring the well-being of our patients.
