Position Summary:

  • As a Dietary Aide, you will assist the Cook in meal preparation and service. Responsibilities include placing prepared food on plates/trays in accordance with established policies and procedures. You will prepare and deliver food and trays, wash dishes, and clean and sanitize the kitchen to meet health standards.
  • Safety: You will utilize protective gear in designated functions and adhere to safety precautions while mixing and using cleaning solutions. Timely reporting of equipment needs and malfunctions to your supervisor is expected, in addition to following strict hygiene protocols to maintain a sanitary environment.
  • Punctuality: Maintaining consistent attendance and punctuality is essential. You are expected to complete assigned tasks on schedule and respond promptly to the paging system.
  • Customer Experience: Positively represent HCSG by following instructions and maintaining courteous interactions with supervisors, co-workers, and client staff.
  • Resident Experience: Engage with residents, staff, and facility guests in a positive and respectful manner.

Qualifications:

  • A positive attitude with the capacity to follow oral and written instructions while performing routine, repetitive tasks daily.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills post-training, accomplishing responsibilities independently and safely.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Specialized training in food service is desirable, and completion of an approved sanitation and safety course may be required.
  • Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required per state or county regulations.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.

  • Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
