Position Summary
- Dietary Aide: Assist the Cook with meal preparation and service, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. Duties include placing prepared food on plates/trays according to tray tickets and supporting the Food Services Director/Manager or Cook to guarantee quality food service. Responsibilities also encompass preparing and delivering food, washing dishes, and maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen in accordance with health standards.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols, including proper use of protective gear and the safe mixing and handling of cleaning solutions. Report any equipment or product issues to your supervisor promptly, and ensure compliance with established standards, safety guidelines, and infection control procedures.
- Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and prompt arrival, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks as scheduled. Respond to paging systems in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Customer Experience: Provide exemplary representation of HCSG by following instructions and maintaining courteous, cooperative interactions with supervisors, coworkers, and client staff.
- Resident Experience: Engage positively and tactfully with residents, staff, and facility guests, fostering a pleasant atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Exhibit a positive demeanor with the capability to follow both oral and written instructions while performing routine, repetitive tasks.
- Upon completion of training, demonstrate leadership skills by undertaking responsibilities independently and safely.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Specialized training in food service is advantageous, and completion of an approved sanitation and safety course may be required.
- Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on state or county regulations.
- Must maintain punctuality and availability as scheduled.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is mandated as per state, local, and customer requirements.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, and maintain standing, sitting, bending, and walking positions for extended periods.
- Must be comfortable working around food and cleaning products.
- Residency in the service area is required.
