Position Summary: Nutrition Services / Dietary Aide – Full-Time (day shift) and Part-Time Available
The Server Person is responsible for providing exceptional table service in the community dining rooms. Key responsibilities include:
- Setting tables and maintaining workstations in proper order.
- Taking orders and providing service and requested items graciously and courteously.
- Clearing dishes from tables during and after meal service.
- Responding to questions regarding menu items.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assisting in maintaining a high level of customer service for residents and their guests.
- Helping with dish washing and distribution of clean dishes as needed.
- Ensuring safe and sanitary conditions in work areas.
- Adhering to personal hygiene standards and departmental dress code.
- Completing all assigned cleaning tasks.
- Participating in in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
- Fulfilling other specific duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
- Experience in waiting tables within a fine dining context preferred; training will be provided.
- Capability to interpret and explain the menu, respond to inquiries, and manage meal service coordination.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with residents, guests, families, supervisors, and peers, demonstrating courtesy and tact.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
The position involves working indoors, necessitating the ability to stand or walk for the entirety of the workday. Candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs independently and manage pushing and pulling bus carts weighing up to 50 lbs. Candidates should also be able to bend, stoop, reach, and maintain balance frequently throughout the workday, along with sufficient vision, hearing, and speech capabilities.
