Key responsibilities of the Dietary Aide include, but are not limited to:

– Setting up and cleaning all dining areas, ensuring rooms are prepared at designated times.
– Washing and sanitizing all dishes, utensils, cooking equipment, and prep areas, as well as sweeping and mopping floors.
– Serving daily meals and addressing the dietary needs of residents and families, such as providing beverages and desserts.
– Properly rotating food items and managing leftover food by covering, labeling, and dating them.
– Maintaining cleanliness and organization in coolers and dry stock rooms.
– Adhering to departmental procedures related to sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules.
– Performing other tasks as assigned by the Food & Nutrition Manager or Executive Director.
– Following established infection control and standard safety procedures.
– Complying with all safety protocols, including the proper use of cooking equipment and utensils.

Physical demands of the Dietary Aide position include:

– The ability to stoop, bend, turn, stretch, push, pull, lift, stand, and walk for most of the shift.
– Frequent exposure to temperature extremes and the handling of potentially hazardous cleaning supplies.

Qualifications for the Dietary Aide position include:

– A minimum age of 16 years.
– Possession of, or willingness to obtain, Level 1 Servsafe certification.
