Position: Dining Room Server

Position Summary:
The Dining Room Server plays a vital role in the Culinary department by delivering exceptional customer service to our Residents. This position offers a unique opportunity to enhance the lives of those we serve through innovative and memorable culinary experiences. As a Server, you will engage in the activities you cherish, presenting delightful meals and building meaningful relationships with both Residents and colleagues. You will receive comprehensive training to refine your skills and cater to our Residents’ preferences and needs.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • A commitment to building relationships with our Residents.
  • No prior experience is required; we provide thorough training.
  • Applicants must be a minimum of 16 years of age.

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience working with seniors.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a commercial restaurant or club setting is preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the highest quality of customer service to our Residents.
  • Communicate, interact with, and observe the preferences and needs of our Residents.
  • Take Resident orders and serve meals and beverages in a courteous manner.
  • Set up and elegantly decorate dining room tables for mealtimes.
  • Clean and sanitize dining room areas, menus, kitchen spaces, side stations, and other specified areas.
  • Assist in the preparation of beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for service.
  • Transport used dishes, waste, and linens to designated collection areas.
  • Complete daily task assignments accurately and efficiently.
  • Track and record refrigeration temperatures.
  • Learn and retain Residents’ names, special requests, and dietary restrictions.
  • Support special events and catering functions across various community areas.
  • Assist in the plating and delivery of meals to remote locations or Residents’ rooms upon request.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Culinary Director or Executive Director.
