Dining Room Server Position Summary

Dining Room Servers play a vital role in the overall operations of the Culinary department by delivering exemplary customer service to our Residents. This position is centered on enhancing the lives of those we serve through innovative and engaging culinary experiences. As a Server, you will have the opportunity to showcase your passion for food by presenting delectable dishes and nurturing relationships with Residents and fellow staff members. You will receive training and develop your skills in collaboration with your Team Members to fulfill our Residents’ wishes and desires.

We invite candidates from diverse backgrounds, including restaurant professionals who have recently been displaced, as well as individuals who are passionate about providing outstanding customer service. We offer excellent work hours and flexible scheduling to accommodate various lifestyles.

Dining Room Server Required Skills/Abilities:
– A strong desire to positively impact the lives of others through exceptional customer service
– A genuine ambition to foster relationships with our Residents
– No prior experience is required; comprehensive training will be provided
– Minimum age requirement of 16 years

Dining Room Server Preferred Skills/Abilities:
– Experience working with Seniors
– Previous customer service experience
– 2 to 3 years of experience in a commercial restaurant or club setting is preferred

Duties/Responsibilities:
– Deliver the highest quality of customer service to our Residents
– Communicate, interact, and observe our Residents effectively
– Take Residents’ orders and serve meals and beverages
– Set up and beautifully decorate dining room tables for meal service
– Clean and sanitize the dining area, menus, kitchen, side stations, and other designated areas
– Assist in the preparation of beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for service
– Transport used dishes, waste, and linens to appropriate collection areas
– Complete daily task assignments diligently to ensure quality work
– Monitor and record refrigeration temperatures
– Learn and remember Residents’ names, special requests, and dietary restrictions
– Assist with special events and catering functions in various areas throughout the community
– Assist with plating and delivering meals to remote locations or Residents’ rooms upon request
– Perform other duties as assigned by the Culinary Director or Executive Director
