Dining Room Server Position Summary
Dining Room Servers play a vital role in the operational success of the Culinary department by delivering exceptional customer service to our Residents, thereby enhancing their quality of life through innovative and creative dining experiences. As a Server, you will engage in meaningful interactions, present delightful culinary offerings, and foster relationships with Residents and fellow team members. You will have the opportunity to expand your skills through comprehensive training alongside your colleagues, ensuring that you can effectively cater to the preferences and desires of our Residents.

Dining Room Server Required Skills/Abilities:
– A strong desire to positively impact the lives of others through exceptional customer service
– A genuine ambition to cultivate relationships with our Residents
– No prior experience is necessary; training will be provided
– Must be at least 16 years of age
Dining Room Server Preferred Skills/Abilities:
– Experience working with Seniors
– Previous experience in customer service
– 2 to 3 years of experience in a commercial restaurant or club setting is preferred
Duties/Responsibilities:
– Delivering the highest quality of customer service to our Residents
– Communicating and interacting effectively with Residents while observing their needs
– Taking Resident orders and serving meals and beverages
– Setting up and decorating dining room tables for mealtime service
– Cleaning and sanitizing dining areas, menus, kitchens, side stations, and other designated spaces
– Assisting in the preparation of beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for service
– Transporting used dishes, waste, and linens to designated collection areas
– Completing daily task assignments thoroughly and responsibly
– Monitoring and noting refrigeration temperatures
– Learning and remembering Residents’ names, special requests, and dietary restrictions
– Supporting all special events and catering functions throughout the community
– Assisting with the plating and delivery of meals to remote locations or Residents’ rooms upon request
– Performing other duties as assigned by the Culinary Director or Executive Director
