Job description:

Hours: 24 hours per week
Schedule: 3rd Shift | 11 PM – 7 AM
Location | Department: Meadowlark Retirement Village | Assisted Living

The Care Partner plays a vital role in providing compassionate care to the residents of the Meadowlark household. Responsibilities include assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), food preparation, companionship, meal service and cleanup, laundry, and housekeeping.

Elder Care

  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Plan, lead, and engage in meaningful activities for the residents
  • Administer prescribed exercises in accordance with individual service plans
  • Assist with the movement, positioning, and transportation of residents
  • Support the application of prosthetic and assistive devices
  • Prepare and serve breakfast and snacks

Quality Responsibilities

  • Measure and document vital signs accurately
  • Store medications received from the pharmacy safely and in compliance with regulations
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with organizational policies
  • Collaborate with the care team to address residents’ needs and identify/solve issues
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff promptly
  • Ensure prompt response to resident requests for assistance

Housekeeping Duties

  • Maintain cleanliness throughout the home by performing routine housekeeping tasks
  • Make beds and change linens regularly
  • Launder clothing, linens, and other necessary items
  • Clean up after meals, including lunch and dinner

Qualifications

  • High school diploma is required
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is preferred
  • CPR certification is preferred
  • Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
