Job Title: Direct Support Professional

Company: Beacon Specialized Living Services, Inc.

Location: Michigan – New Haven, CT

Pay: $14.5 per hour

AI Pay Analysis: An hourly rate of $14.50 for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in New Haven, CT appears to be on the lower end of the compensation spectrum for this role, especially considering the cost of living in Connecticut, which is generally higher than the national average. As of 2023, DSPs in similar regions typically earn between $15 to $20 per hour depending on factors such as experience, certifications, and specific employer practices. Additionally, given the increasing demand for DSPs due to an aging population and the need for support services, this rate may not be competitive. Therefore, while $14.50 may meet minimum wage requirements, it may not be sufficient to attract and retain qualified professionals in the field.
